I needed to hear this…thank you!
What a great reminder that Christ’s love is
not just for us to embrace and keep to ourselves,
but it is best manifested when it is passed on…
sometimes and maybe more often to those most unlike us.

I highly appreciate this video by Spencer and Andrew, I’ve ordered Andrew’s book. As a Pastor in the gay community and Convener of Emergent Wilmington, Wilmington, NC, whose groups are made up of a mix of LGBT and straight Christians and seekers, this will be a helpful tool in continuing to walk a path of understanding toward embrace, whether full agreement is ever reached or not. Thanks, guys! Greg…

I find it someone ironic that we even have a topic called “loving your gay neighbour”. Why would I care what my neighbor’s sexuality is anyway? i would rather just love my neighbor and let god worry about who they sleep with.

I am really interested in the work that Andrew Marin is doing and his book “Love is An Orientation”.  Again, here is someone who is bridging the gap. All it takes is an open door. please understand first that i am also trying to understand

where do we see that a man having sex with another man is ok in the bible

then where in the bible do we see it as wrong

do we believe that it is ok to have multiple wives

in the bible God told david that He gave him all his wives and that if he asked then He would have given him more

so david had at least three wives (michal bathsheba and abigail) i dont know about any more

abraham had at least 2 (sarah and keturah and im not so sure if he was actually married to hagar or if they just had a child together)

but the point is that i believe polygamy is ok and the only place i see that we are told to have only one wife is when the NT talks about bishops (and there it actually literally says a one woman man)

both in the NT and the OT, we are admonished against same sex intercourse and how sexual sin hurts not only others and God but it also hurts us as well

again please understand that i am just trying to understand and i like what spencer says about how the gay community should also be willing to have an open mind to hearing what the straight community has to say

this is a two-sided conversation and i would just like to be able to promote my side and also see where the other side is coming from thanks for any responses in advance

      Praise Him
